a race against time

it's over,
within a blink of eyes.

a 4 minutes performance,
which took us 4 days of non-stoppable practices.

at the time the princess's car arrived in our school,
the countdown started.

staring at the watch,
watching the seconds, minutes and hours ticking away,
like the flow of water.

my mind was in a pool of confusion,
nervousness started to rise from beneath,
while i stared at my watch more frequently than ever.

10.15am...
10.30am...
10.40am...
10.45am...

shoot!

with trembling hands,
i reached out for my phone,
and ran my fingers across the keypads,
afraid of losing any second.

"do you think we can make it?"

30 seconds later my phone beamed.

"maybe can kut. bloody dogs talking so long. can one la."

must not give up hope...
must not give up hope...

11.05am.

i heard my teammate's name being called.
and i was surprised,
and a surge of joy filled my cavity.

the tunnel is getting brighter.
our prayers have finally been heard.

we heaved a sigh of relief when the 3 of us finally reunited at the backstage.

11.10am.

the music of the 1st performance rang in our ears,
filling the hall in the musical atmosphere.

it has finally begun.

11.13am.

smiling,
we walked out onto the path to our dream,
facing the audience in front of us with newly-born confidence.

and it began,
with the 4 minutes passing so rapidly that we could not chase.

but at last,
we made it.

the most satisfying,
the most unforgettable,
ever.

i'll treasure this memory and keep it locked in my mind.
because,
it was a game between fate and miracle. =)

thank you my friends~ =')
