house on the hilltop

standing on a mountain high,
looking at the moon through a clear blue sky...

there it was,
the house on the hilltop.

white and cloudy fumes evoked from the chimney,
hazing the sky in a mist of smoke.

is anybody inside there?
could it be...

i quickened my pace and walked to the doorway,
and i began to knock.

"Knock! Knock!"
no answer.

startled,
i creaked open the wooden door.

popping my head inside,
and letting my eyes wander.

empty. isolated.
definitely no one.

picking up my courage,
i allowed myself into the dimness of the room.

searching here and there,
desperate to find a candle somewhere.

pacing back and forth on the aimless route,
out of a sudden an obstacle brought me to a halt.

i stopped,
cursing under my breath while rubbing my painful toes.

after taking a closer look,
i zipped my mouth.

this picture,
which had been a memory for long.

slowly,
i knelt down and picked up the wooden frame.

staring at the smile on the photo,
the time froze.

until a beautiful and magnetic voice broke the silence of the night,
the menacing and attractive beauty appeared at the doorway.

"Just put it back to its original position,"
the slim and slender lady said.

her smile and her pride,
amazed me even still.

surprised and feeling a surge of joy,
i stood up instantly and obeyed her order.

and thus in the room full of the unexpected,
i returned 2 smiles and closed the door behind me.

his confident smile in the picture,
her winsome smile in my eyes.

peering into the blueish beauty of hilltop,
i found the meaning of today.

i've met with the two person whom i admire the most in my life.
today. =)
