The day had come.
With a thumping heart,
I watched him walking in on the corridor.
Like ever.
Then I walked up to him,
And every step took forever to reach him.
With every insecure step,
The questions and fears crept into my mind like a long flow of waterfall.
What will happen next?
What should I say?
Have I made the right decision?
And...
What the hell am I thinking?
Slowly his figure became closer to my retina.
I picked up my courage and put on a big smile.
"Hey, I wanna...give you something later,"
I began.
"Oh, alright. Where do you want me to wait?"
Panic began to rise to my throat.
"Erm...I'll just give it to you now,"
Then i took out the nicely-folded envelope,
And handed it to him.
"Read it at home, and don't let anyone see it! Good luck!"
Then as swiftly as possible,
I strode off,
Never wanting him to see the tears in my eyes.
"All the best, to you too."
He responded after several seconds,
From shock, and surprise.
